Bridging For Tomorrow is a community center helping families flourish and neighbors give back.

In Northwest Houston, we’re never far from zip codes where families must choose between paying rent and buying groceries. It can be hard to know how to help - and where to find help. But it shouldn’t be! Whether you need a hand, or you’re ready to pay it forward, BFT is the bridge to get you there.

TAKE ACTION

Caring for our neighbors looks like preparing boxes of groceries in the food pantry, reading with school-aged children, helping students with their homework, or sorting donated shoes.

Investing in our neighbors is investing in a better Houston. You can make sure that parents are equipped to care for their family and that students have what they need to succeed.

You aren’t alone - we have the resources to help you navigate challenging seasons and a staff ready to support you through it all. The load is lightest when it’s shared by friends. We’re here for you.

Caring for our neighbors and our city doesn’t have to be confusing. In fact, we’ve been doing it for years, including:

  • Trusted partner of 13 local schools and Klein and Aldine ISDs

  • Over 1 million lbs. of food distributed every year since 2020

  • Houston Food Bank Partner Pantry and Food for Change Market

  • Mental health support for families recovering from trauma

Our strategy:

Houstonians are generous, hard-working and proud of the city we live in. With good reason. But not all families have the resources they need to flourish here.

And the truth is that today, more low-income families live in the suburbs than in the cities. We offer immediate solutions and long-term strategies to make Northwest Houston a place where all families can flourish. Whether you are in need of assistance or looking to give back, our community center provides something for everyone.

OUR 1,000,000 LB. MILESTONE CONTINUES

In October 2020, we reached 1,000,000 lbs. of food distributed since the Covid crisis began. We couldn’t have done it alone. We couldn’t have done it without you.
