Meet Isabel, Our Director of School Programs
Isabel Sugranes has been a member of our team since 2014. She oversees programs like mentoring and the after school clubs. Before joining our staff, Isabel was a teacher in Klein ISD. She studied curriculum and instruction at Texas A&M University, then received her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin. She’s especially passionate about children with special needs.
What Isabel loves most about her job is the kids that she gets to work with every week and developing long term relationships with their families. She believes that if we can make even one child feel loved and empowered, we can make our community stronger. Her goal is to expand our programs to serve more families in more schools.
Isabel was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She first moved to the United State in 1983, but has also lived in Bolivia, Brazil, Jamaica, and Peru. Isabel comes from a big family and is the proud mother of two adult children, Dani and Rami. She loves sports, traveling, spending time with friends, and going on walks with her dogs, Bella and Milo.
