be a mentor
2017/2018 School Year
Our Mentor Program provides children at Nitsch Elementary, McDougle Elementary, and Klein Intermediate with a friend who listens to them and helps them see their value. This positive relationship with a caring, responsible adult makes a huge difference in their lives. Mentors spend an hour each week in the school talking, reading, and playing games with their mentee. We ask for a minimum one year commitment and will provide all necessary resources and training for your mentor experience to be a success.
Interested in serving as a mentor? Join us for Mentor Training on Sunday, September 10 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM or Monday, September 25 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Faithbridge Church (18000 Stuebner Airline Road). Contact Jessie to learn more.
Support Our Food pantry
Throughout the month our Food Pantry needs volunteers to help unload deliveries, organize the pantry shelves, or help with other tasks. These opportunities usually involve lifting, moving, and breaking down boxes. If you are available during our office hours and would like to serve in the Food Pantry as needs arise, please contact Jessie.
You can also support our Food Pantry by hosting a Food Drive. To learn more about hosting a Food Drive or to find out what items our Food Pantry needs, please contact Jessie.
