As we prepare to move to our new office and community space, we are looking for Community Builders to greet visitors and provide some office support. If you are available during the week and enjoy welcoming people or assisting with administrative tasks, this is the volunteer opportunity for you.

be a mentor
2017/2018 School Year
Our Mentor Program provides children at Nitsch Elementary, McDougle Elementary, and Klein Intermediate with a friend who listens to them and helps them see their value. This positive relationship with a caring, responsible adult makes a huge difference in their lives. Mentors spend an hour each week in the school talking, reading, and playing games with their mentee. We ask for a minimum one year commitment and will provide all necessary resources and training for your mentor experience to be a success.
Interested in serving as a mentor? Join us for Mentor Training on Sunday, September 10 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM or Monday, September 25 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Faithbridge Church (18000 Stuebner Airline Road). Contact Jessie to learn more.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
September 25 - December 20
Volunteers who serve at our after school clubs have the opportunity to help elementary and middle school students with homework, supervise fun activities, and build relationships with the kids who attend. If you enjoy spending time with kids, then this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
The Bridge of Hope Club serves the community around Nitsch Elementary. The club meets at First New Hope Bible Church (5400 W Mt. Houston Road) on Mondays and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM during the Klein ISD school year. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and available to serve regularly throughout the school year. The Bridge of Light Club serves the community around Kaiser Elementary. Stay tuned for more details about volunteer opportunities at the Bridge of Light Club this fall.
If you are available during office hours and would like to support the club by providing some administrative help, let us know! Contact Jessie if you would like to be a part of the Bridge of Hope Club.
Support Our Food pantry
Throughout the month our Food Pantry needs volunteers to help unload deliveries, organize the pantry shelves, or help with other tasks. These opportunities usually involve lifting, moving, and breaking down boxes. If you are available during our office hours and would like to serve in the Food Pantry as needs arise, please contact Jessie.
You can also support our Food Pantry by hosting a Food Drive. To learn more about hosting a Food Drive or to find out what items our Food Pantry needs, please contact Jessie.
