Announcing Our New Executive Director
We are excited to announce that Christy Sprague has accepted the role of Executive Director at Bridging For Tomorrow! Christy joined our staff in 2014 and has served in a variety of capacities since that time. She began as our Volunteer Coordinator before moving into a leadership position as the Director of Community Affairs. Over the past year as the Director of Development, Christy has spearheaded our fundraising efforts and helped cast vision for our continued growth.
Christy is passionate about cultivating leaders through mentoring relationships. She loves to help people identify and develop their strengths so that they can, in turn, lead others. In her time at Bridging For Tomorrow, she has played a key role in developing the rest of our staff. Her proudest moments have been watching those under her leadership excel at challenges that they once thought were insurmountable. She says, “I don’t think it’s fair to say that not everyone can be a leader. When people’s talents, passions and abilities are nurtured in a healthy way, they become people of influence and begin to transform the lives of those around them.”
Bridging For Tomorrow’s mission is important to Christy because she has seen first-hand the difference that a supportive relationship can make to a vulnerable family. As Executive Director, Christy plans to move our organization forward by ensuring that all of our programs are as effective and holistic as possible. She hopes to cultivate more partnerships with local churches and organizations as well as strengthen our mentoring program so that we are better able to support the entire family throughout all stages of life.
Christy is a proud alumna of the University of Texas and the University of Houston. She and her husband, Sam, grew up in Houston and have lived in the Northwest Houston/Tomball area since 2005. They have two children, Hannah and Noah. In her free time, she likes to cook, travel, garden, and spend time with her family.
