We are excited to announce that Hasid Puentes is joining our team as the new Executive Director! Hasid comes to us from Mueller Elementary School where he served as an Assistant Principal. He has worked as an educator and school administrator in Klein ISD and Spring ISD since 2002. Hasid completed his undergraduate studies at the University of St. Thomas before obtaining a Master’s in Education Administration from Prarie View A & M University and a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Houston Baptist University. The proudest moment of his career was the day he received an invitation to a graduation ceremony from a former student. This student was one of his most challenging and had been written off by many as a lost cause, but went on to graduate from Texas A & M with a degree in engineering.
Hasid is passionate about helping students and adults discover a love for learning. He feels that his life proves that education is the key to success, but doesn’t think that education should be limited to the classroom. Hasid believes that wherever your talents and interests lie, you should push yourself to pursue excellence and strive to be a life-long learner. He says, “I am proof that learning is the key to success. When I came to this country, I was doing dishes. Education pushed me to become what I am today. Whatever you want to be, challenge yourself to be the best at it. You’re never too old to learn something new.”
As the Executive Director of Bridging For Tomorrow, Hasid is excited to continue what we’ve started as an organization by constantly working to improve our programs and collaborating with community members to develop new ideas. He believes that Bridging For Tomorrow’s holistic approach to investing in families and developing leaders is making an impact in our community. Hasid is confident that if we keep moving forward, there are no limits to what we can accomplish together.
Hasid has been married to his wife, Bianca, for 35 years. Together they have 4 adult children who live all over the world. In his free time, Hasid enjoys playing soccer and watching football. He hopes to take up golf so he can start golfing with his sons.
