Fall Food Distribution

This fall, the Bridging For Tomorrow Food Pantry will distribute over 800 bags of food to families in our partnering Title I Schools in Klein ISD and Aldine ISD. These bags need to be picked up from Hope Community ECC (11811 Misty Valley Drive) and delivered to the schools between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Monday, November 14 and Tuesday, November 15 so they can be distributed to families in need who will take them home in time for the Thanksgiving Break.

This opportunity involves loading bags of food in your vehicle and driving to the assigned school to deliver the bags. If you are available during the day and have a spacious car, this is the opportunity for you! You can sign up for this opportunity here or by contacting Jessie Chambers at jessie.chambers@bridgingfortomorrow.org

Bridge of Light Club

The Bridge of Light clubs serves kids in the Northcliff community by offering them a safe environment where they can learn and grow. Each week the kids who attend learn valuable lessons about character, and they receive help with homework and tutoring. They will meet from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 4 through December 15 at the Bridge of Light. You don't need to be an expert in education, you just need a willing heart and a desire to serve children.

Volunteers must be at least 17 years old and available to serve once or twice a week for at least 2 months. If you would like to be a part of the Bridge of Light Club, please contact Jessie Chambers at jessie.chambers@bridgingfortomorrow.org.

Be a Mentor

Our Mentor Program provides children at Nitsch Elementary, McDougle Elementary, and Klein Intermediate with a friend who listens to them and helps them see their value. This positive relationship with a caring, responsible adult makes a huge difference in their lives. Mentors spend an hour in the schools each week with their mentees talking, reading, and playing games.

If you are interested in serving as a mentor during the 2016/2017 school year, please contact Jessie Chambers at jessie.chambers@bridgingfortomorrow.org.
